Medicine Conference to Be Held
HOHHOT, Jul 9, 2001 (Xinhua via COMTEX)
An international academic conference on Mongolian medicine will be held here
from August 18 to 20 in Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,
the regional government said Monday.
Some 300 Chinese and foreign experts, scholars and health officials will attend
the conference.
An exhibition on the achievements Inner Mongolia has made in developing Mongolian
medicine and new Mongolian medicine products will be held during the three-day
conference, co-sponsored by the regional government and State Administration
of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
At a press conference here Monday, organizers expressed the hope that the conference
will promote the development of the Mongolian pharmacology, which is effective
in curing heart and brain vascular diseases, diabetes and hepatitis.
