In spite of the fact that Chinese
medicine is a complete academic discipline in medical
education in various countries, it remains a vocational
training far from being widespread.
Centers which offer complete training
programs are usually out of touch with traditional
education channels. They are often small sized, isolated
and do not have the skills nor the means necessary
to set up distant learning engineering. In fact, since
it was created, jadecampus realized that most schools,
even though in full activity, are not sufficiently
in evidence and fail to communicate with other schools
or with potential students: trading know how exigency,
lack of debate about Chinese medicine recognition… Sharing
its education tools, jadecampus tries to establish
the link between various education and institutional
rationale. Our website also provides schools with networking
capacity by offering them a space or hosting for their
distant learning classes.
Education partnership
jadecampus offers since 1998 its
own education contents. They are developed by professors
graduated from various medical universities in china.
Since its foundation, the virtual campus hosts the majors European
Chinese medicine schools. We offer to change their education
modules, which are taught in conventional classrooms, into
distant learning contents. These new courses will be offered,
on a dedicated internet space, either to all jadecampus students
or restricted to students registered to a particular school.
Similarly, jadecampus connects online students with their country
schools, drawing them back on the school bench towards traditional
teaching methods. Being a virtual campus, we can offer assistance
to persons who work full time, cannot commute or need to extend
their medical knowledge with technical skills inspired from
other health systems. Nonetheless we invite all our students
to follow internship and seminars in the classical sense.
In fact, jadecampus lecturers are all professors or interpreters
in traditional classrooms for the various European TCM schools.
Our aim is to build up an observatory and a network for know
how interaction between worldwide TCM centers that might be
distant in a geographical sense but are very close as far as
purpose and activities are concerned.
