Liu Dong Qi Gong Style

Liu, Dong was born in the Jiling province of China in 1961. When he was five, he contracted tuberculosis. Being wrapped in the warmth of a cotton quilt at night when the weather was bitterly cold made him very happy. But his grandfather, a humble qigong master, had been studying his grandson and knew that this child was an old soul that had to be awakened and made strong.
Of course, Liu, Dong did not know this. All he can remember is that every night at midnight his grandfather would come and take him from his warm bed and together they would do exercises. This was the beginning of Liu, Dong's qigong studies. It is from his patient but strict grandfather that Liu Dong inherited and is now the successor of a type of Taoist qigong that formed the foundation for his own Jade-Body Qigong.
In 1981, Liu, Dong was accepted as a special student at the Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During his six years of college study and afterwards when he was assigned to work at the Qigong Research Institute, part of the Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Liu, Dong, himself, was the subject of clinical as well as scientific research.

Liu Dong has founded his own school of Qi Gong in Paris :
